San Roque 2 Elementary School is an institution situated at the midst of the barangay. It was founded in 1958 through the effort and supervision of Mrs. Dalisay Vidal and the first group of teachers: Mrs. Alta Delos Reyes, Mrs. Pacita Dolojan and Mrs. Braulia Cacho. The primary objectives of which was to foster literacy in the barangay started initially with few number of enrollees and seeing the success of productive years and revitalizing the urgency of a complete elementary education, every grade level was completed in 1960. 1963 marked the beginning of a continuous expansion to meet the demands of a growing population.

From the time, it was fully established as an institution for learning. It strived to attain its goals. The school has become sensitive to the needs and concerns of its clientele.

​Today, the school continues to operate with a clear sense of direction and vision to respond to the call for quality education by developing and molding youth who will conform the demands of the new world.
